The residents of the Hula Valley Nature Reserve are constantly changing depending on the time of year you visit. On this weekend’s visit there were only a few egrets, but we also saw cormorants, ducks, storks, water buffalo, turtles and muskrats.

I spotted this little guy at the back door of our building following the morning’s rain when I came home from grocery shopping. Figuring he wouldn’t get too far, I went upstairs to put my groceries away and came downstairs less than 10 minutes later with my camera all set to photograph him. He was gone!
