Goodbye Posterous, Hello

And another web service bit the dust this past week. Posterous, which was bought by twitter, officially shuttered its doors on the 30th of April. Posterous has promised that users’ backup/export files will be made available until the end of May, but why wait? One small tip to try and help those who previously used Posterous’ gallery and are trying to transition to the Gallery feature: try typing the WordPress Gallery shortcode where you want your photos to appear.

But remove the additional spaces around the brackets first. This will create the default 3-column thumbnail image Gallery in its simplest form, as shown above.
